Start with a clinical question
Describe the diagnosis, current concern, previous treatment and what decision you need help with. Gather recent records before asking a hospital to comment.
Ask whether the hospital can review the case
A hospital may request more information, recommend another department, offer an appointment or decide the case is outside its scope. None of those outcomes should be assumed before records are reviewed.
Plan the full journey
A realistic plan includes admission timing, the length of stay nearby, a companion, language support, accessible transport, accommodation and follow-up after returning home.
