Questions & answers
Can foreigners visit public hospitals in China?
Some public hospitals have international medical departments or foreign-patient services, but processes differ by hospital, campus and specialty. Ask the intended institution whether it can review your case and what records it needs before travel.
What documents should I prepare for a hospital enquiry?
Start with a concise medical summary, diagnosis, recent reports, imaging reports and files where available, treatment history, medication list and specific questions. Do not send sensitive records until you understand the receiving hospital's process.
Can China Med Links recommend a treatment or doctor?
No. We do not diagnose, prescribe or decide clinical suitability. Hospitals and licensed clinicians make medical decisions after their own review.
How much does medical translation cost in China?
The scope, language pair, location, hours, notice period and required specialist knowledge all affect cost. Translation and accompaniment should be quoted separately from hospital charges and confirmed before booking.
Can you guarantee a hospital appointment, visa or treatment outcome?
No. Hospital acceptance, entry permission, clinician availability and treatment results depend on the relevant institution and the individual case. We explain practical steps, not guarantees.
How are medical costs estimated?
A responsible estimate identifies its scope and likely exclusions. Confirm what is included in hospital charges, what may change after examination and which non-medical costs—such as interpretation, transport and accommodation—are separate.
Can a family member travel with the patient?
Often a companion is helpful, especially for mobility, recovery or communication needs. Each traveller must meet their own entry requirements and should plan flexible accommodation and travel dates.
What should I do in an emergency?
Seek local emergency help immediately. This website and its enquiry form are not emergency services and should not be used for urgent symptoms or time-critical decisions.
How quickly will you reply?
We aim to acknowledge complete coordination enquiries within one business day. The time needed for a hospital response depends on the specialty, records provided and the institution's process.
How do you protect my information?
Read our Privacy Policy and Patient Record Authorization process. Initial enquiries should contain only the minimum information needed to understand the requested support.
Still need help?
Send a non-urgent coordination enquiry. We will explain the practical next step and, if appropriate, how to prepare information for a hospital review.
