Where interpretation can help
Support may be arranged for appointment preparation, hospital registration and navigation, consultation interpretation, test bookings, discharge paperwork and practical next-step communication. It is not a substitute for a clinician, nurse or hospital consent process.
Prepare before the visit
Confirm the institution, exact campus, department, appointment time and purpose. Share essential terminology and documents early enough for preparation, while retaining the original records. Do not assume an interpreter can access records or speak to a hospital without authorization.
During and after the consultation
The interpreter communicates questions and answers faithfully and distinguishes the clinician's statement from the patient's questions. Afterward, important written instructions, prescriptions, test bookings, estimates and follow-up dates can be organized for continuity of care.
Fees and confirmation
Any quote depends on language, location, date, preparation time, expected duration, waiting time and follow-up work. Interpretation fees are separate from hospital charges and are confirmed before booking.

Which languages can be arranged?
English-Chinese support is the initial focus. Other language pairs depend on confirmed availability, the appointment location, specialist terminology and advance notice.
How much notice is needed?
Earlier is safer. Availability depends on the exact hospital campus, department, date, consultation length and language pair. A request is not confirmed until scope and availability are agreed.
Can an interpreter explain what treatment I should choose?
No. The interpreter communicates faithfully; clinical advice and informed consent come from the treating team.
